The University of Southampton is constructing new facilities, and part of this development effort is the update of experimental facilities. This Invitation to Tender addresses one of the requirements, namely the manufacture and construction of a Pipe Flow Rig To be used to study boundary layer growth in enclosed channel flow using PIV measuring techniques.

The Rig has been designed and fully specified by the University and this Invitation to Tender contains all the required information for the manufacture, assembly, installation and commissioning of the equipment.

The rig consists of a water filled closed loop consisting of various conduits and test sections. Key components within the system are a flow conditioners, a centrifugal pump, a chiller unit and a de-aerater.

Additional information: The University is utilising an electronic tendering tool (In-Tend: https://in­tendhost.co.uk/ universityofsouthampton) to manage this procurement and to communicate with participating organisations.

8.Click the red "Submit Return" button.
