Bristol City Council New Build Homes Programme – Passivhaus Construction Opportunities
Bristol City Council Housing Delivery have commenced a programme of building new council houses on small former garage or back-land sites. The second phase of this programme will see us develop on eight sites across two wards. The homes in this phase have obtained Planning Permission and have been fully designed to Passivhaus standards.
We are building two different Passivhaus systems; one using rendered Porotherm clay blocks, the other highly insulated timber frames. Construction is programmed to commence at the start of 2016. There will be separate tendering opportunities for each method of construction.
