New Adelphi Dark Rooms v2

The University of Salford wish to procure the services of a Principal Contractor to carry out reconfiguration works to the existing Photography Suite to create Dark Room, Film Development Room and Light Room, to New Adelphi Building, located within the Frederick Road campus of the University of Salford, M6 6PU.

The project will briefly consist of;

• Strip out of existing internal fixtures and finishes
• Modifications to external windows to ensure light-tightness is achieved
• New fire doors
• New 2-way revolving doors
• Installation of new partitions and ceilings
• Plumbing/sanitary installations
• New ceilings
• Fixed furniture installation
• Decorations.

The works are to be undertaken as a single phase of works and during the normal works hours of Monday to Friday 07:30- 18:00. It is expected that the building will be partially occupied during the works. The Principal Contractor must liaise with the Client as to specified times when noisy works may not be able to be undertaken. The Principal Contractor will also need to plan the works accordingly in respect of dust, vibration and general disturbance in consideration for adjacent tenants.
