CASUALTY CARE TRAINING PROVISION FOR HMCG STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS.

Bespoke casualty care course that typically reflects the type and nature of first aid incident encountered by a search and rescue organisation. Commensurate with the environment, casualty habitats and rescue situations. The emphasis on the practical elements of the course will be to promote a culture of casualty care intervention, treatment, packaging and delivery to the next level of care. The syllabus or training may need to be amended or updated dependant on changes in operational needs.

Typical syllabus:

• Duration of course is expected to be 5 days

• The instructor (train the trainer) module qualifier will be required to run concurrently with the casualty care element of the course. This qualification should be the required minimum level instructor qualification in keeping with current legislation.

• Re-validation (2 day course plus 2 day for re-accreditation as an instructor);
