description

The Department of Health (DH) and the NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) have decided to include the Healthy Start Vitamins Service within the scope of the Future Operating Model for NHS procurement, supply chain and logistics services.

As a result DH is to hold a market engagement to supplement previous logistics events that have been focused on the core supply chain logistics services. This will be in the form of a webex to be held in the week commencing Monday 23rd January 2017, specifically to present to the market a proposed contract for a logistics service to support the Health Start Vitamins Programme.

The early engagement is to ascertain interest in the market for a potential 3 year term contract with two one year extension options linked to performance outcomes. The prospective contract would be with a single provider. The estimated value of the contract will be £1.4m over 5 years and will be a separate Lot to the main logistics procurement likely to be published by Contract Notice in OJEU in 2017 (Q2).

The market engagement will be in the form of a webex, supported by a pre-event distribution of a slide deck. It will also involve a question and answer session and the opportunity to follow up with a one-to-one engagement.

To register for this event please email - fom.logistics@dh.gsi.gov.uk by Friday 13 January 2017 at 12:00 noon.

Additional information: Please note that all organisations who register an expression of interest for this event will (if they have not already done so) be required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement. Only organisations that have registered will be allowed entry to the Event. Organisations not attending the Market Engagement Event, but who still wish to participate in future sessions are advised to register their interest as per the instructions above, stating that they will not be attending in January.
