NHS Health Education England (HEE - the Commissioner) are commencing a tender for the provision for Children and Young People (CYP) Mental Health Crisis Telephone Lines Training.
Health Education England (HEE) will be looking for a provider to build upon the successful pilot delivered in 2021-2022 to address the needs of NHS Crisis Mental Healthcare staff through CYP crisis telephone training. This training programme will equip the workforce with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to be able to respond effectively to the particular needs of children and young people, and/or their parents and carers, presenting in crisis via the telephone.
The procurement exercise will support in identifying a suitable provider to develop and deliver, building on lessons learnt from the initial pilot, foundation level training to improve staff confidence in handling distressing calls from CYP presenting in mental health crisis, or their parents/carers communicating on their behalf.
This is an exciting opportunity to support Health Education England with this provision.
The maximum financial envelope for this procurement exercise is £300,000 (+Vat) £100,000 per year (+Vat). The contract period will be up until 31st March 2023, with the option to extend by up to a further two (2) years (1+1) subject to annual review and available budget.
The deadline for submission of completed ITT submissions is 3rd October 2022 at 12:00pm (midday).
