Public Health England (PHE) has awarded a contract to Mirion Technologies (Canberra UK) for a capital purchase of a new electrically cooled low background gamma spectrometer instrument to facilitate the analysis of a wide range of tests for the analysis of natural and artificial gamma emitting nuclides as part of a range of commercial contracts .
The current requirement is for the Public Health England Radiochemistry department at the Centre for Radiation, Chemical and Environmental Hazards in Glasgow, Scotland.
