Upgrade Fire Doors to Sheltered Schemes

<b>Planned Maintenance - </b><b>The Upgrade of Fire Doors to Sheltered Flats</b><b></b> Swindon Borough Council is seeking suitably qualified and experienced contractors to undertake the upgrade of fire doors to three number Sheltered Schemes within the Borough of Swindon, subject to funding additional Sheltered Schemes may be incorporated into the contract. The contractor will be required to undertake works such as: · ; The removal of existing entrance and doors to flats and communal areas. · ; The supply and installation of new fire doors complete, including all required ironmongery. · ; Making good to the existing frame, structure and finishing's as required. The contractor will be required to price the NHF version 5.1 schedule of rates for the above works, along with individual items of work not covered in the NHF document, including day works. The contract will be let to a single contractor for a 14 month period commencing 1st February 2016. The evaluation of tenders will be based on 70% price 30% quality. Notification of intent and clarifications to the tender may be submitted up to 12 noon local UK time on 28th October 2015 by email to Christopher Smalley at csmalley@swindon.gov.uk. All clarifications relating to the tender will be posted on the Supplying The South West portal and contractors will be required to check on a regular basis. You will not be automatically notified when an update to the clarification log is made. Responses are required to be submitted in alignment with the tender document no later than 12 noon local UK time on 4th November 2015.
