description

A refit is required to replace two irreparable aquarium display tanks and plan for replacement of the remaining 5 aquarium tanks. The first phase of the project would ideally be complete by 22nd February 2018.

World Museum's aquarium was rebuilt in 2005 installing 7 tanks measuring between 9,000lt and 14,000lt in volume and around (H) 200cm. They were constructed with marine plywood which has now warped causing multiple irreparable leaks. Two tanks have severe leaks and several repair attempts on both have failed. The other tanks may fail in the near future because of the same construction date and method.

Companies bidding for the tender are required to provide broken down costs for the following. In all cases costing must include 'theming' (rocks / realistic planting for attractive displays for the public).
