NHS Partnership Commissioning Unit - Personalised Commissioning in York and North Yorkshire Hea

Are hosting a Market Engagement Event in York on the 26 July 2016 and wish to engage with providers to share future commissioning intentions and discuss plans to implement personalised healthcare, including personal health budgets.

The Commissioners are looking to put in place arrangements that support personal health budgets and explore more personalised ways of delivering healthcare in the future.

Extensive engagement has already taken place with service users, carers and other stakeholder groups which we will share at the event.

We are looking for providers who can bring added value to the local network of personalised support for our most vulnerable patients. As outlined in the NHS Five Year Forward View and Care Act 2014 the local NHS is committed to providing increased choice and control for patients, particularly those with long-term or enduring health conditions.

Our local offer for Personal Health Budgets is aimed at those with CHC funded care, and we aim to extend this for young people, those receiving Section 117 aftercare, and people with complex Learning Disabilities.

Additional information: The market engagement event will comprise of an overview presentation and interactive sessions to better understand the views of the market. Organisations will be able to discuss and share their experiences of the services, best practice and scope for innovation.

The event will take place in York on Tuesday 26th July 2016 from 1400-1700.
