description
This is an Advert for an Engagement Event to gauge market interest which will influence the future commissioning direction.
NHS Midlands and Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit on behalf of NHS Herefordshire CCG, NHS Redditch & Bromsgrove CCG, NHS South Worcestershire CCG and NHS Wyre Forest CCG (which will henceforth be known as 'the CCGs'), is seeking to engage with potential Providers for the provision of non-emergency patient transportation services.
The CCGs intend to jointly go to market in March 2019 under Schedule 3 of the Public Contract Regulations 2015 to procure a non-emergency patient transportation service for the health population of the counties of Herefordshire and Worcestershire. It is likely that the duration of the service contract will be five (5) years, with the option to extend for an additional two (2) years, subject to agreement.
The aim of the market engagement event will be to engage with potential providers for these services in order to share the commissioning intentions of the CCGs, and to seek the input from providers on a number important aspects relating to the services, including the service specification. The CCGs would like to assess the current market appetite to provide this service and identify any barriers to successful implementation. The outcomes of the market engagement event will then determine next steps.
Please note, as the service specification is still under development, the estimated contract value of £20m (for the 5-year period) is an indicative figure only, intended as a guide, and may be subject to change prior to any future procurement exercise.
At the event, the commissioning authority will also present information regarding the proposed procurement process and procurement time line.
At the event there will also be an opportunity for providers to network with other providers and the commissioners.
The event will be held on:
Wednesday, 30th January 2019
At: 10am to 12noon (Registration from 9.30am)
Location: The Meeting Room, Malvern Community Hospital, 185 Worcester Road, Malvern WR14 1EX.
Please note no more than 2 attendees per organisation should attend.
Closing date for registration is 22nd January 2019 by 12 noon. Please note that after this deadline participation cannot be guaranteed.
