Concession Opportunity - Car Boot Sales 2019

Portsmouth City Council ('the Council') is inviting expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced providers to apply for this opportunity.

The scope of which will comprise of but may not be limited to providing food and drink catering units/stands for weekly car boot sales at Pier Road, Southsea, during 2019.

This is the third year that the Council has been managing/organising weekly car boot sales at Pier Road, Southsea. These vents are well attended by members of the public and the site can accommodate approximately 100 cars to trade. The car boot sales take place every Sunday morning (weather and events permitting) from 7th April 2019 - 29th September 2019. Trading hours are 7am - 1pm.

The Council is seeking to appoint 2 concession operators to provide hot drinks and suitable food offerings, as well as 1 ice cream van.

The 2 concession operators will be required to work in partnership, each working alternate Sundays, while the ice cream van will be required every Sunday the car boot is operational.

The contract will start with the first car boot sale on 7th April 2019 and end with the last car boot sale on 29th September 2019.

Contracts will take the form of a service concession which will require payment to the Council. The Council is seeking a minimum payment from each concession of £140+VAT per week.
