LGPS Central are seeking to appoint a supplier for the provision of stewardship services, covering shareholder voting and engagement. LGPS Central wish to appoint a provider that can demonstrate an ability to engage and vote in a way that both supports the long-term economic interests of our clients and partner funds, and that is conducive to LGPS Central's vision of responsible investment . The preferred supplier will be able to provide voting and engagement services to members of the investment team, in support of investment processes. LGPS Central is a global investor and the successful supplier will demonstrate truly global coverage in respect of its stewardship services. Whilst volume and coverage are important, LGPS Central seek a supplier that demonstrates high quality research, intimate knowledge of companies, clear understanding of global corporate governance standards and local application, and a systemic appreciation for financial materiality. The successful provider will be expected to provide insights of genuine value to the investment team. The preferred supplier will have an excellent suite of reporting materials, both off-the-shelf and client-customised, enabling LGPS Central to provide in turn high quality reporting to its clients, partner funds and the wider public. Recognising the motivations behind the project of LGPS asset pooling, the successful supplier will strive for continuous improvement, whilst aiming for ever greater cost efficiency.
