Soft Market Testing Exercise - Sports Equipment

Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council ("the Council") is in the process of re-procuring its contract for Sports Equipment which expires 31st August 2021 and is conducting a Soft Market Testing Exercise (the "SMTE") as a method of gathering market intelligence.

The Sports Equipment contract serves approximately 80 schools but for the re-tender exercise we are looking to add our Leisure Centres and other council departments that use sports equipment. Current spend is approximately £60,000 per year but this could potentially increase with the addition of other council departments.

The equipment should include, but is not exclusive to:

General sports such as football, basketball, rounders, badminton, tennis, rugby and hockey.

Physical activity resources such as various types and sizes of ball, bean bags, Frisbees, balance beams, stilts, resistance bands and skipping ropes.

General equipment such as stopwatches, bibs, cones and markers, water bottles, clipboards, swim caps, floats, measuring tapes and trundle wheels.

Larger items such as move-able netball nets and goals.
