Upgrade of Elizabeth Ward to form a Discharge Lounge

Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust requires a contract to provide services to upgrade the existing Elizabeth Ward to a new discharge lounge facility as detailed on the design drawings and in the schedule of required works.

The contract is to carry out the works to the discharge lounge project and associated works. This will comprise, in its basic form design, installation and commissioning of the following systems:

  • All main contractor duties required to fully deliver the discharge lounge project
  • Delivery of the whole project within a maximum 14 week programme.
  • All demolition duties required to strip out Elizabeth ward ready to refurbish as the discharge lounge
  • All Building works to deliver the discharge lounge project as detailed on the drawings and schedule of works
  • All Electrical works to deliver the discharge lounge project as detailed on the drawings and schedule of works are to be carried out by the CRH appointed electrical contractor, SPIE Matthew Hall
  • All Mechanical works to provide discharge lounge project as detailed on the drawings and schedule of works are to be carried out by the CRH appointed mechanical contractor Hallamshire Heating

All contractors shall be suitably competent and qualified to carry out the required works on the various systems to deliver the discharge lounge project. Such systems must be installed in accordance with all the relevant regulations, European and British Standards and the NIC/EIC guidelines and to the highest standards.

All electrical works shall be fully certified in accordance with the NIC/EIC for commercial installations.

The Trust requires all works to be installed to the highest standards, installed correctly, fully operational and fit for purpose.
