description

Sunderland City Council is committed to delivery of strategic heat network infrastructure as part of its overall objectives to reduce the City's carbon footprint, helping to lower energy costs and promote energy security. Delivery of a City Centre heat network is a key item of the Sunderland "City Plan",and aligns with the Council's ambition to be 'carbon neutral' by 2030 having declared a climate emergency.

Having previously benefited from HNDU funding for Phase 1 and 2 feasibility studies the Council, with the assistance of further HNDU funding, is now in a position to commission Detailed Project Development and Green Book compliant business case. Sunderland City Council are therefore tendering the required work in two lots; Lot 1 - Techno Techonomic, Lot 2 - Legal, with a requirement for collaborative working between the two lots.

This will be divided into two lots bidders can bid for one or both lots.
