The Authority is an operational command of the Home Office responsible for frontline border control operations at air, sea and rail ports in the UK and in Northern France.
The Authority awarded a contract to a contractor to provide a daily coach service to a fixed timetable for the transport of Border Force officers between Martello House, Shearway Business Park, Shearway Road, Folkestone, Kent CT19 4RH and Border Force controls at Calais. Cross-channel transport will be via the Channel Tunnel which will be arranged and paid for by Border Force.
