Contract award notification for the provision of the new Partnership libraries are part of Barnet Council's recently announced plans to reshape the Library service that will, amongst other things, keep all 14 libraries open. 4 will be community-managed Partnership libraries which will be run by community groups as part of the overall library network. This means services will be developed jointly with local communities and Partnership libraries will remain part of the statutory library network, retaining the LBB branding.Barnet Council is now inviting community groups, not-for-profit and voluntary organisations and groups of residents to come forward to run East Barnet, South Friern, Mill Hill and Childs Hill Partnership libraries.Expressions of Interest are required to short-list for business case submission.The Council will be responsible for providing the library space, grant funding, books and other resources.
