description

Public realm improvement works in the town centre of Doncaster. The streets affected are St Sepulchre Gate, West Laith Gate, Duke Street.

The works involve the excavation and disposal of existing pavement surfaces and replacement with high quality materials.

Carriageway widths will be reduced and the space reallocated to widened footways and the inclusion of a bi-directional cycleway.

Landscaped planting beds will be created, some of which will be used to sustainably drain some areas. Trees, shrubs and plants will be planted to enhance the environment. New road signs and street furniture will be installed.

The work is to be undertaken whilst shops, businesses and residential properties continue to operate.
