1213 (2) REISSUE The Supply, Installation and Commissioning of a new studio Pot Furnace for the Glass Workshop (Faculty of Arts, Design and Humanities) at De Montfort University, Leicester

The University's Glass Workshop is a busy and vibrant resource that has grown steadily in popularity in the last few years. Glass plays a vital role primarily in supporting DMU's Design Crafts BA and Foundation studies programmes. Wider support is offered across the Faculty for students who wish to include glass as part of their design. The Technical Instructor also offers a making service which has supported collaborative work with students who wouldn't usually have access to glassmaking.

This year the Workshop is receiving further investment and commissioning a new pot furnace, and the University invites proposals from suitably qualified suppliers.
