description
Quotation for The Provision of Environmental Impact Assessment Services for an Area of Land at Kitchener Street & Merry Hill Allotments Smethwick
Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking to appoint an experienced consultant to evaluate a potential residential development option at two sites in the Black Patch area of Smethwick. The two sites are formed of an area of land on Kitchener Street and Merry Hill allotments.
These sites are in close proximity to active industrial uses which may have an impact on the Council's potential to deliver a housing scheme in this area. The council is aware that air quality, noise and odour are known to be an issue in this location however due to the historic and on-going activities in this area; further environmental issues may have an impact on the delivery of a housing development. The sites are in council ownership.
The council requires an experienced consultant to undertake an interpretive desktop and site analysis to identify the scope of environmental factors that will impact on bringing forward a residential development on these two sites.
