The CBC Library Group now represents 43 library authorities (16 CBC members and 23 Associate members) for the procurement of services and supplies required by its members. West Sussex County Council is the lead authority for the CBC Library Group and is representing the CBC Library Group in the procurement of Library Books and Audio Visual materials (AV).

The Agreement will also be available to maintained schools and academies within the administrative areas of all the local authorities referred to.

The first full page of the terms and conditions sets out a definition of “Customer” which describes all those authorities who may access the Agreement.

The requirements are set out in the Specification and broadly cover the following objectives;

Responsibility for the purchase, servicing, and delivery of Library Books and Audio Visual materials to Libraries and schools for those Local Authorities
Obtaining optimum discounts from Publishers and Dealers.
Providing a web based system for all the associated processes and management information

Bidders are invited to bid for 4 Lots. Bidders can bid for any number of Lots from 1 to 4. The Lots are described in the Specification and are as follows:

Lot 1 – Adult Fiction

Lot 2 – Adult Non-Fiction and Reference

Lot 3 – Children’s Fiction and Non-Fiction

Lot 4 – Audio Visual (AV) materials – CDs, DVDs, Games
