description
As a consequence of some fundamental changes to the national and local context, the Council has embarked upon a review of its adopted third Local Transport Plan (LTP3) and the transportation issues and challenges that are likely to face the county in the future. A fundamental aspect of this review is the development of a new transport vision for Hertfordshire to 2050.
The transport vision will address three distinct time periods, these being defined as:
| Short-term: | 2015 – 2021 |
| Medium-term: | 2021 – 2031 |
| Long-term: | 2031 – 2050 |
The transport vision will underpin the strategic direction of future major transport scheme delivery within the county, enabling a spatial transport vision to be established for Hertfordshire that guides all future transport policies and strategies.
