Brief description:

We are looking for an experienced communications professional to provide much needed support to an excellent but stretched corporate team to build on recent positive coverage of Sandwell throughout the Commonwealth Games. We need someone who can come in and bolster the team from the outset by picking up day-to-day media, social media and PR work as directed by senior team members. The position is temporary, and the hours of work will be 37 per week. We are a small team delivering council corporate communications, PR & media, social media, marketing, digital & design, internal communications and stakeholder engagement. The role requires the ability to be able to write to an excellent standard across multiple platforms, including social media and content management systems. Local government comms experience would be advantage. You will be fully supported by a highly experienced and close-knit team, who will be delighted to welcome you!
