description
The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham (LBBD) will be procuring the Young People and Adult Substance Misuse (drug and alcohol) treatment services during 2023/2024.
The Council's aim is to build a specialist treatment system for young people and adults experiencing problems with substance misuse that enables individuals to make the changes in their lives that will actively:
| - | Promote and sustain the recovery from substance misuse. |
| - | Engage and retaining adults and young people in effective treatment to prepare them for recovery. |
The Council is proposing to procure and award contracts for two distinct services:
| - | Lot 1: Young People's integrated substance misuse service |
| - | Lot 2: Adults integrated substance misuse service |
This is an exciting opportunity for suitably qualified service providers to work with Commissioners, within London's Growth Opportunity, to deliver an innovative and forward-looking service with a substantial emphasis upon the prevention and recovery from substance misuse and the harms associated with it.
The Council invites suitably qualified service providers to attend a market engagement event outlining procurement intentions for the provision of Substance Misuse Service's within the Borough.
This event will offer an opportunity to inform providers of the Council's vision for services, its competitive tendering process and timetable for procurement. There will also be opportunity for providers to seek clarity on the model, ask questions and make comments where appropriate.
The event will be held between 10:00am and 12:00pm on Wednesday 26th April 2023 via Microsoft Teams. Organisations interested in attending the event should confirm their attendance by emailing adebimpe.winjobi@lbbd.gov.uk. latest by 10:00am Friday 14th April 2023.
This exercise is not part of any pre-qualification or selection process. It is intended as an awareness, communication and information-gathering exercise offering an opportunity for potential providers to help understand commissioning intentions and offer opportunities for potential future providers to network, forge partnerships and start thinking about recovery focussed service delivery models.
Please note no more than two (2) representatives to the event and include the job titles/roles of attendees and their contact details, to ensure the sessions are planned effectively and enable us to contact attendees should there be any unforeseen circumstances.
