description
The cliff stabilisation scheme will involve:
| • | Demolition |
| o | Demolition and removal of existing 1970s transverse beams stabilisation schemes |
| o | Demolition and removal of an early masonry wall located on the cliff |
| • | Proposed Construction |
| o | Installation of new service ducting (water and power) |
| o | Prepare existing cliff face to allow the installation of the soil stabilisation system |
| o | Supply and install on the existing cliff face approx. 5500m2 of: |
| | Soil nailing, |
| | structural mesh and |
| | erosion protection matting |
The works will also involve monitoring the stability of the cliff during the works, and installation of temporary works to prevent damage to the beach huts
