Fabricated and Galvanised Steel Mast & Drill Towers Refurbishment

Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Authority is inviting suitably qualified organisations to bid for the Fabricated and Galvanised Steel Mast & Drill Towers Refurbishment.

The Authority currently operate and maintain seven (7) steel drill towers and one (1) radio mast that form part of the Authority's training facilities. Through the constant use of the drill towers across the estate, they have become tired and in need of refurbishment works to update the appearance and to ensure safe operation. This Contract aims to reintroduce elements of the structure, such as the riser unit to enable more diverse training, as well as form part of the preventative maintenance for the structures. The structures range from 3-storey to 5-storeys in height, with the radio mast being significantly greater in height.
