Medway Council is the only unitary authority in Kent with both waste collection and disposal responsibility. Medway's current Recyclate disposal contract for both waste transfer and disposal ends on 30th September 2022. There is a need to write a new specification for waste transfer, merchant MRF space and other recyclate disposal contracts that fall under this remit that reflect the current volatile markets.
