Termination of Pregnancy Services - Call Bureau service

The CCGs that are based in Cheshire and Merseyside ** would like to announce an exciting opportunity to providers who are interested in providing a ‘Call Bureau’ service to individuals who have an unintended pregnancy and want to be referred to a Termination of Pregnancy Service. The aim of this service is to signpost individuals to the appropriate service that has been identified in the agreed CCG pathway(s).

The CCGs are looking for the service to be delivered in a speedy and innovative way that enables individuals to access the appropriate Termination of Pregnancy service. Due to the nature of this service the geographical location of the service does not necessarily have to be located within this area however as part of the evaluation process, service providers must be able to evidence that the service would be able to deal with service users in a sensitive, re-assuring and confidential manner.

Cheshire and Merseyside Commissioning Support Unit (CMCSU) is procuring this service on behalf of the CCG’s and will facilitate an initial engagement event with potential service providers. The event will be held on Thursday 1st October 2015, from 2.00pm until 3.30pm in the large meeting room at the Halton Stadium, Lower House Lane, Widnes, Cheshire WA8 7DZ

Any Providers wishing to attend this event must e-mail procurement@cmcsu.nhs.uk in advance of the meeting, providing contact the details of the delegates attending the event. Please note that organisations will be limited to 2 delegates per organisation.

Please note that delegates need to register their intention to attend by mid-day on the 30th September 2015.
