P1 Brackets and Cable Management System - Costain HRS02 Tunnel and Lineside M&E

Scope/ What Will Be Required

Costain have been appointed to deliver contract HRS02, the Tunnel and Lineside Mechanical and Electrical services for HS2 ltd. A high-speed railway project that connects London to Birmingham with plans to extend in the future.

Package 1 Brackets and Cable Management system scope associated to contract HRS02 consists of brackets and cable management systems for the route of the railway, the route being circa 180km in length, inclusive of;

-Tunnel Bracketry and associated fixings -Cross Passage Bracketry and associated fixings -Ladder Rack and Associated fixings -Cable Tray and associated fixings -Trunking and associated fixings

Costain require a supplier to design and supply only of the bracket and cable management system. Costain and HS2 are looking for innovative and smart solutions that provide benefits in the following key areas.

-Health and Safety

-Programme - Installation and Commissioning activities -Cost

-Quality and Assurance Efficiency

-Whole Life Cost

-Carbon Efficiency

All the innovation and design development must be accompanied with a rigorous approach that the technical requirements are met. Including testing where necessary. The scope of design and supply will include the following:

-Support to Costain's design partner through concept and detailed design -Bracketry and Containment testing (Fatigue and Fire)

-Supply of bracketry and cable management system products and the associated fixings -Provision of samples and mock ups

Full details of the scope and specifications will be provided to the successfully shortlisted suppliers. Suppliers should be aware of the scale of the HS2 project and are to assess their internal capabilities to able to carry out the intended scope of works prior to completing the expression of interest.
