The Old Market Street Footbridge Demolition contract comprises of the demolition and removal of an existing 6 span pedestrian footbridge and adjoining escalator buildings.
The works will include the following:-
| a) | Site set up |
| b) | Establishment and maintenance of pedestrian and traffic management including signing and guarding to pedestrian and traffic diversion routes |
| c) | Demolition of the existing footbridge which comprises 6 spans |
| d) | Demolition of existing footbridge support columns (10nr) |
| e) | Making good to the Marriott Hotel boundary wall |
| f) | Removal of asbestos from the escalator buildings |
| g) | Removal of escalators and all other internal features |
| h) | Demolition of the escalator buildings (2nr) and external staircases |
| i) | Disposal of all arising offsite |
| j) | Backfilling of the escalator pits |
| k) | Reinstatement of footpaths |
