New Forest District Council wishes to appoint a consultant to undertake a playing pitch strategy for the New Forest area. The strategy will cover the combined administrative areas of New Forest District Council and the New Forest National Park Authority Including the small area in South Wiltshire (circa 2,500 residents) and Southern Test Valley (circa. 500 residents). New Forest District Council will lead on the procurement of the study.
The strategy will provide a strategic framework to ensure that the provision of outdoor sport and indoor sport facilities meets the needs of residents (both existing and future) and visitors to the area. It will also support those organisations, including the Council, involved in the provision of outdoor sports facilities in the county. The Strategy will be produced in accordance with Sport England guidance and provide robust and objective justification for future playing pitch provision throughout the New Forest.
