description
The contractor shall deliver the following objectives:
| • | Establish and deliver a survey to collect data from a stratified random sample of at least 500 senior leaders in post-16 institutions including schools in both May/June 2016 and November 2016. |
| • | Develop and use a mixed-mode survey (telephone in the first instance with an online option for participants who do not respond using this method) to collect answers to up to 35 questions (including filtering questions) submitted by the Department and agreed with the Contractor. |
| • | Test that survey respondents interpret the questions as intended to ensure high-quality data are collected by carrying out at least 1) 8 cognitive interviews and 2) 20 pilot interviews. |
| • | Provide the Department with a response which is nationally representative (weighted if necessary) in terms of: |
| 1. | the type of post-16 institution (General Colleges, Specialist Colleges, Sixth Form Colleges, Schools with Sixth Forms, Special Schools, Studio Schools and University Technical Colleges (UTCs)). |
| 2. | the proportion of students taught by different types of post-16 institution as listed at point 1 above. |
| • | Provide the Department with timely results from the surveys which take place in May/June2016 and November 2016: |
| • | Unweighted topline results shall be delivered 1 working day after the completion of fieldwork; |
| • | A set of data tables against a pre-agreed set of cross breaks shall be delivered 1 week after the completion of fieldwork |
| • | A detailed presentation of findings shall be delivered 3 weeks after the completion of fieldwork. |
| • | A written report presenting survey results for a non-technical audience 2 months after completion of fieldwork. |
