EBC/GHu/Commercial and Confidential Waste Collection and Disposal

Elmbridge Borough Council is inviting bids from suitably qualified contractors for the collection and disposal of general, re-cycled & food waste from our main site at the civic centre in Esher and from 8 other council operated locations across the borough. As part of our commitment to the climate emergency, the Council requires all its waste to be handled responsibly and re-cycled wherever possible with a minimum amount sent to landfill.

The council also requires a confidential paper waste collection and disposal service that will operate from the civic centre. This will involve the collection of sealed bags weighing approximately 1.2Kg, for either shredding on site or removal to be shredded elsewhere. Certification of destruction will be required. The council requires compliance with BS EN 15713.

There may also be the requirement or the supply of other waste clearance services on an ad hoc basis throughout the life of the contract.

These requirements will be offered as two separate Lots as follows:

Lot 1 - Collection & disposal of re-cycled, general and food waste.

Lot 2 - Collection and disposal of confidential waste.

Prospective suppliers may bid for one or both Lots.
