description

This notice is for the purpose of publishing variations to 3 contracts which were successful in phases 1&2 of this competition.

The need for contract modifications has been brought about by circumstances which a diligent contracting authority could not have foreseen:

Delays in the SMETS2 Smart Meter roll-out could not have been foreseen by the contracting authority as SMETS2 roll-out forecasts (available at the time of the NDSEMIC ITT) were not achieved by the market. Therefore, it has not been possible to carry out the testing of NDSEMIC solutions with SMETS2 data until this year although this was a key objective of NDSEMIC.

Delays in the availability of polyphase SMETS2 meters, suitable for schools, could not have been foreseen by the contracting authority, as industry postponed the launch of polyphase SMETS2 on multiple occasions. Polyphase SMETS2 meters are becoming available from Q3/Q4 2020 - enabling this testing gap to be addressed through the proposed extensions.

Additional information: This notice is for the purpose of publishing variations to the listed contracts which were successful in Phase 1 and 2 of this competition.
