description
NHS Enfield Clinical Commissioning Group would like to invite suitably qualified and experienced healthcare service providers to attend a Market Engagement Event for Direct Access Pathology Services.
The aim of the event will be to engage with potential providers for these services, in order to share commissioning intentions and to seek the input from providers on a number important aspects relating to Pathology, including the service specification.
The event will be held 3pm - 5pm on Tuesday 5th July at Holbrook House, Committee Room
The contract opportunity will be limited to providers who can meet the following criteria:
| | Laboratory provision to handle at least 3 million tests per annum |
| | Facilities to provide daily collection of samples from Enfield GP Practices of which there are 49 |
| | Able to provide electronic Pathology requesting and electronic test results |
Interest and feedback received at the market event will be used to inform the specification and determine the next steps for procurement.
Whilst this market event applies to Enfield CCG, there are discussions across the 5 CCGs in North Central London (Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey and Islington) which may expand the scope to include approximately 14 million tests per annum. This will be confirmed in advance of a procurement process.
Additional information: NHS Enfield CCG is keen to test the potential provider market for the Direct Access Pathology Services.
Potential providers with relevant technical capability and experience are required to express an interest if they are interested in bidding for this service should the CCG decide to carry out a competitive tender exercise and publishes a Contract Notice for this requirement. You can express an interest in this market testing exercise by sending an e-mail clinical.procurement@nelcsu.nhs.uk
The deadline for submitting a response for this market testing exercise is on the 28th June 2016 at 17:00.
Your e-mail should detail your organisation’s technical capability and previous experience of delivering pathology or similar services. Please note that this is a market testing exercise to inform the CCGs’ decision making process. This does not commit the CCG to a carry out a procurement process. Bidders who have expressed an interest in this market testing exercise will have to submit a separate response to the Contract Notice should the CCG decide to procure this service and publish a Contract Notice (advert) for this requirement
