description
Purpose
Bristol City Council (BCC) is seeking to engage the market to gauge the capabilities by those with the specific experience and expertise required. The Council are interested in understanding the market availability and capability in delivering an automated "operator free" Hybrid conference solution for its Council Chamber, and is looking at options from off the shelf products through to collaborative development of a configured solution that would allow it to meet these requirements.
We are currently reviewing options for Hybrid Council meetings, with the possibility of going to market in mid 2022 or late 2022, and the feedback we are collating in this exercise will feed into an initial business case that will assist in determining our next steps, including what routes to market we, as a public body, can take going forward.
Looking forward
The Council is seeking to run operator free Hybrid Council meetings from the Council Chamber.
Building on existing AV technology of Crestron, Dante and Televic the Council is seeking a supplier to survey, design, install and maintain a solution moving forward.
The Hybrid solution will provide members of the public, staff, and Councillors the ability to join and interact with Council meetings online.
The Hybrid solution will broadcast meetings to the Councils YouTube page for the public to view.
The Hybrid solution will also provide speech to text transcription for record keeping and improved accessibility.
