The main purpose of this Framework is to provide reasonably priced, quality, multi temperature catering and grocery provisions.

The Framework is one lot and covers;

-Chilled, frozen and ambient
-Fresh fruit and vegetables
-Fresh and frozen meat and meat products
-Milk and morning goods

The Framework will be categorised by geographical region in order to include local Suppliers. Suppliers are invited to bid for as many of the regions as they wish. The requirement will include the need for healthier and more sustainable sourcing of food in line with Government recommendations and standards.

Additional information:

All public bodies will have access to this Agreement but may only do so with the agreement of the Contracting Authority. Those organisations who may wish to access this Agreement will be members, affiliates and associates of the CBC Group, Local Government Authorities, the Police Service, the Fire Service, the NHS & NHS Trusts, Housing Associations, third sector organisations, academic centres (including Academies and Free Schools), publicly funded organisations and publicly owned private companies, operating within the geographic boundaries of the United Kingdom, Channel Islands and Northern Ireland.

The Agreement will also be open for use by all other local authorities and public sector bodies. Full details of the classification of potential Contracting Bodies and End User's geographical areas and organisation classifications are detailed within the Invitation to Tender

This opportunity will be completed via ProContract, a site run by Due North, the electronic tendering suite of the Kent Business Portal.

Tenderers should note the following when uploading documents to the ProContract portal prior to submission:

A 10MB file will take approximately 5 minutes on average to upload on a standard Broadband connection (256Kbps upload speed). Please take this into consideration when uploading larger files and ensure that you leave sufficient time to complete your submission.

Instructions on how to submit your response can be found within the 'Help' facility in ProContract. These instructions should be consulted in order to ensure that your response is submitted correctly.

The ProContract System maintains a strict audit trail part of which gives detail as to the exact time that a response was uploaded. This audit trail will be used to determine if a tender or mini-competition response is late.
