VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND GIRLS ADVOCACY AND REFUGE SERVICE
Overview
Lewisham council is carrying out a market and stakeholder engagement exercise to inform our commissioning intentions for a service that supports victims of all forms of gendered based violence (VAWG).
Expected service outcomes include:
| • | The delivery of an expert, single point of access service for victims of any form of gendered violence and abuse |
| • | Delivery of 1:1 advocacy support to improve the safety and wellbeing of victims |
| • | Refuge and specialist support for victim fleeing domestic- supporting victims to rebuild their live and move on to independence |
| • | Specialist expertise in different strands of VAWG, and the ability to work flexibly to respond to different and emerging needs across the borough |
| • | Effective partnership working with Lewisham's voluntary community sector and statutory agencies, to achieve a whole systems approach to ending violence and abuse |
| • | Effective training and awareness raising on all strands of gender based violence across all agencies in Lewisham |
Engagement Exercise
This exercise is not part of a pre-qualification or selection process. It is intended as an awareness, communication and information-gathering exercise, to inform our commissioning intentions and offer opportunities to forge innovative partnerships and begin thinking about service delivery models to achieve a wide range of outcomes for victims of violence and abuse.
This therefore does not represent a commitment from Lewisham Council to award a contract or an invite to tender to any provider that expresses an interest in this exercise. At this stage we are seeking ideas which will inform our commissioning strategy for the above outcomes.
