description
Manchester City Council is looking to utilise the TPS 2021 framework to commission a City Centre Pedestrian Network Study. The work will include an audit of the city centre pedestrian network (streets, pavements and squares) in order to identify small scale (construction costs of up to approximately £500k) priority interventions to improve such aspects as walking connections between key attractions, reduce street clutter, improve crossings and junctions, ensure the areas are safe and attractive to pedestrians both during the day and at night. The work will build on, and look to deliver, the ambitions for walking set out in the City Centre Transport Strategy to 2040
