UK - Bedford: Salt Barn at London Road Depot

Bedford Borough Council (the Council) is inviting tenders for the design and build of a salt barn sited at the Council's London Road Depot. The salt barn will facilitate the Council’s winter maintenance programme for salt distribution.

The site is located south of Bedford Town Centre and is accessed via an unmarked entrance from London Rd. The depot shall continue to run with limited operations during construction of the Salt Barn which must be considered as part of Bidders tender proposals. The installation is the first phase of redevelopment on the site prior to a complete refurbishment of the depot.

Prospective Bidders must note that the award of contract is entirely subject to the Planning Application being successfully approved. The contractor will not be appointed if the application is unsuccessful and the Council will not be held liable for bid costs occurred by the Bidder to that point.
