Cefas requires the delivery of a diary panel survey of people participating in recreational sea angling in the UK in 2016 to estimate the catch and releases of different species from shore, private boat and charter boat. The panel is anticipated to comprise of between 300 and 600 people (depending on quoted costs relative to fund available) who responded to a nationwide postal survey in autumn 2015 and stated that they participated in recreational sea angling and were prepared to keep catch diaries in 2016 documenting all their marine recreational angling activities and catches on a monthly basis throughout 2016.
