Irrigation Services - Portsmouth - 2024

Portsmouth City Council ('the council') is inviting tenders from suitably qualified suppliers to provide irrigation services at 11 sites managed by Culture and Leisure Directorate. The council's target date for award of contract is February 2024 with service commencement following on March 1st 2024.

The 11 sites which will be covered under the contract are as follows:

1. Salterns Golf Course
2. Mini Links, Southsea
3. Milton Park Bowls
4. Canoe Lake Putting Area
5. Drayton Park Cricket
6. Langstone Sports Cricket
7. Rugby Camp Sports Cricket
8. Canoe Lake Sump Pumps
9. Victoria Park Pond Pump
10. Rock Gardens Pump
11. Baffins Pond pump and aerators

Interested suppliers should note that tenders are only being invited for delivery of services at all 11 of the sites, tenders for delivery of services at only 1 or 2 of the sites is not permitted under this process

The estimated annual value of the contract is ?10,000 based upon current specification, irrigation frequencies and sites. The value of the contract may increase or decrease in the event of changes to specification, changes to frequencies, and removal or addition of sites from the contract. The council cannot provide any guarantees of increases or decreases of the contract, however any increases will be capped at 50% of the per annum contract value. The upper value of the contract is ?20,000 per annum.

The initial contract term will be for 3 years with possibility of extending the term by a further 2 years in increments to be agreed, subject to the agreement and performance of both parties. The form of contract used will be the Council's standard terms for the supply of services.

2. Site Visits From Monday 15th January 2024 until Wednesday 24th January 2024
3. Deadline for requests for clarification Monday 29th January 2024 at 23:59
4. Tender return deadline Wednesday 7th February 2024 at 12:00
5. Evaluation of tenders completed Wednesday 21st February 2024
6. Award decision notified to bidders Friday 23rd February 2024
7. Contract award Friday 23rd February 2024
8. Start of contract Friday 1st March 2024
