Roofing Renewal Programme 2017/20

Scope of the Project

The Council is looking to carry out a procurement process for the replacement of traditional pitched roof covering to housing stock owned by Kettering Borough Council.

The nature of the works undertaken will typically comprise of:

• (i)replacement of existing;

• a.roof coverings, battens, underfelt and replacement with specified concrete tiling/components;

• b.roof level joinery (fascia and soffit boarding), including removal of existing asbestos-cement based components where present;

• c.pvc-u guttering/clearing of existing concrete sectional guttering Finlock;

• (ii)installation and top-up layer of mineral fibre insulation over existing insulation, as required; and

• (iii)Minor repairs to chimney stacks and high level brickwork.
