description
WYCA is looking for a personal mobile device based solution that allows boarding, alighting, and carrying for each passenger to be recorded.
This will;
- calculate a ‘best value’ fare for each passenger journey, based on fare tables, and including any day or week limit value that may be available
- integrate to ITSO via the YorCard Nero back-office (for WYCA)
- supply travel data to the bus company
- generate accurate revenue apportionment
Trial of a solution is intended from January 2016 for approximately 6 months with passengers on a single bus route (alongside typical paper tickets and smartcards).
