KMCEGS-002 Provision of Seasonal Bedding Plants

Kirklees Councils Parks and Greenspace Department is seeking to appoint a preferred supplier for the supply only of seasonal bedding plants for the summer and spring seasons. The contract period will run from 1 December 2015 through to 30 November 2016 and plants will be delivered over a two week period commencing 1 June 2016 for summer bedding and 1 October 2016 for spring bedding. This is a new trial procurement exercise pending a longer term decision by the Council on the preferred methodology for the provision of bedding plants. It is anticapted that approximately 92,000 plants will be required for summer bedding and 75,000 for spring bedding. The Council cannot guarantee any particular volume of business.

Prices are to be fixed for the duration of the contract. The contract will be awarded initially for a one year trial period and it is possible that a further procurement exercise with longer contract duration will be held in during 2016.
