Reference No. ASC106- FOR THE PROVISION OF A SINGLE HANDED CARE PROJECT - TRAINING PROVIDER
BRIEF DESCRIPTION
With the introduction of the Care Act 2014, Local Authorities must have care and support systems to intervene early to support individuals, help people retain or regain skills or confidence, and prevents need or delay of deterioration wherever possible. The Borough Council of Sandwell ("The Council") seeks to procure an organisation to deliver two core elements and work alongside its internal Occupational Therapy Service and Social Work Teams to achieve the following:
- Deliver an accredited Level 4 Single Handed Care - Train the Trainer training to approximately 79 key Health and Social Care staff. Training facilities will be provided locally to deliver the training, with the required equipment being provided. SMBC will work with the awarding provider to identify the key equipment required for the training. As part of this training, tools and resources are to be provided to the delegates to deliver the required training within their representing organisations.
- As part of aftercare support all delegates will require access to online resources after the training has been completed for a minimum of 12 months.
Further details can be found in the Service Specification.
