Southwark Council is seeking one or more Providers to deliver neighbourhood mediation services for the Council’s tenants and leaseholders.
The housing mediation services must cater for:
- A.Noise disturbance cases (for example through the use of a professional witness service).
The mediation service would include a professional witnessing service for noise nuisance cases. This may include the use of surveillance tools to identify perpetrators and vexatious complainants. Mediation would result in case closure with evidence and case notes provided to the Council with recommendations for further action or to allow the Council to take forward enforcement action.
- B.Non-noise disturbance cases and more complex cases requiring more detailed involvement.
The mediation service would mediate in non-noise disturbance cases involving anti social behaviour and more complex cases requiring more detailed or specialist mediation to de-escalate and resolve difficult neighbour disputes. Mediation would result in case closure with evidence and case notes provided to the Council with recommendations for further action or to allow the Council to take forward enforcement action.
