description
The creation of UK Government Investments (UKGI) was announced by the Chancellor in May 2015. The new government owned (GovCo) body will be set up from September 2015 and will bring together UK Financial Investments Ltd and Shareholder Executive (currently part of the Business, Innovation & Skills Department).
The assignment is to advise the Authority on the formation of a Companies Act 2006 company that will be in place by September 2015, the transfer to it of (a) all of the existing functions of the Shareholder Executive (ShEx), and (b) the ownership of UK Financial Investments (UKFI).
