The provision excludes life insurance. This agreement commencing 1.8.2017, is for a 3 year contract with the option to extend for a further 2 years and is initially on behalf of 43 Full and Associate Members of the LUPC Insurance Group, which includes Members from the neighbouring Southern Universities Purchasing Consortium (SUPC). Members of the North Eastern Universities Purchasing Consortium (NEUPC) are also permitted to participate. Links to the participating consortia including a list of current Members may be found at: LUPC http://lupc.ac.uk/list-of-members.html, SUPC http://www.supc.ac.uk/about-us/our-members/ourmembers and NEUPC http://www.neupc.ac.uk/ourmembers. Two Lots, 4 (Fine Arts) and 5 (Terrorism), have not been awarded and will be re-tendered shortly.

Applicants are requested to provide with their letter of application details of their financial standing, including confirmation of company registration number and the company address. Applicants may be asked for further information if the contract authority feels it is necessary. The financial assessment will be based upon a credit check and review of the supplied accounts in relation to the value of business for the Lot(s) applied for.

All bidders should hold a Standard & Poor's (or equivalent rating agency) rating of A- or better. If you do not hold a financial rating from a rating agency please provide for consideration by the contract authority, your financial statements for the past two years and documentation supporting and demonstrating your financial status and ongoing longevity.

Service providers shall be authorised to write the classes of insurance listed within EU member states subject to English law and jurisdiction of English Courts, or shall be University sector mutual associations.

Bidders are required to register their interest and obtain documentation, which excludes the Member specification, at https://lupc.bravosolution.co.uk/web/login.shtml

Once registered, bidders will receive an encrypted USB device by post providing full details of the specification at Insurance Group Member level. Details of the password required to decrypt the data will be communicated to bidders and in order to receive this, each interested bidder must agree to our confidentiality requirements on this data. The contracts (by Lot) will be for a period of up to 5 years.
